PUB TALES
Black Swan Theatre
Thursday 23 October, 7.30pm
Tkts: £9.50
Fresh from a sell-out New Zealand tour, comedy-musician Chris Sainton-Clark presents Pub Tales. Join Chris as he takes you through his troublesome and hilarious experiences of working in British pubs. Hear stories of compulsive liars, disruptive youths, clinical oversharers, fruit machine addicts and much more. Each of these songs has a satirical outlook on British pub culture that will leave you thinking, ‘I know that person’ or maybe… ‘I am that person’.
Armed with just a guitar, a whole lot of sarcasm and many musical stories, Pub Tales is sure to keep you entertained.
‘Sainton-Clark’s lyrics are quick, witty and have the audience in genuine fits of laughter’ Artmurmurs
‘Charming, well-crafted, intelligent and hilarious’ Broadway Baby
Run time: 1 hour 15 mins plus interval.

The venue
The Black Swan Theatre is a separate building to the pub, located opposite the Black Swan pub.
Black Swan Theatre, Black Swan Loke, North Walsham, Norfolk. NR28 9BX
There’s a map on our Contact page.
We have a small car park ourselves and Bank Loke car park is just next door – just one minute away! Parking is free after 6pm. We are a 10 minute walk from North Walsham train station and 200 yards away from the town centre, tucked in down Black Swan Loke.
We have an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities in the theatre.
For most shows we open the bar inside the theatre itself and you are welcome to buy a drink from the pub and bring it over too.
The pub and theatre are both us! That means your ticket purchase and any drinks or food you buy in the pub helps support our community projects.
Check out our up-to-date listings to see if we’re offering an evening menu on top of our usual daytime offering.
