New Stages Theatre is registered as charitable incorporated organisation in England & Wales. Registered Charity number: 1215221.
The charity was formed in October 2025, to complement the existing activity of New Stages Projects CIC (a community interest company). The CIC manages the Black Swan Pub and Theatre (as it trades as a not-for-profit public house for the community and the CIO (the charity) will deliver community projects, theatre programmes and arts development work for the local area.
We’re a new charity based in North Walsham at the Black Swan Theatre, dedicated to enriching lives through the arts. We offer accessible theatre, music, drama, and visual arts events for all ages, with a focus on community participation. Our work also supports older people by providing affordable arts experiences and assistance with access. For young people aged 8–25, we run creative workshops and skills-based programmes that build confidence and help them thrive in society.

Our Board of Trustees currently includes four dedicated members, and we’re looking to grow. We aim to involve more voices from the local community to help shape our work and ensure our charitable mission supports North Walsham and the wider North Norfolk area.
