Stallholder Information

Christmas Makers Market
Saturday 5 December 2026, 3pm–8pm
Black Swan Theatre, Black Swan Loke, North Walsham, Norfolk NR28 9BX

Organised by Black Swan Theatre and Rudono Pizza

Thank you for joining our Christmas Makers Market. We want to create a welcoming, festive event celebrating Norfolk makers, independent businesses and local produce. Please read these conditions before confirming your booking. Stalls are free, with a £25 refundable deposit required to secure your place.

Our theatre has hosted different events from craft fairs to community showcases and this is our first Christmas Makers Market. We have chosen to present a twilight event (3-8pm) after research and consultation with potential stallholders and customers! We’re really excited to help showcase the best of the local and we look forward to welcoming you to our venue!

About the Black Swan Public House and Theatre

New Stages Projects CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company, took over the site in October 2023. Since then, we have developed community projects, established the Black Swan Theatre and created a welcoming, inclusive pub at the heart of North Walsham.

The Black Swan Theatre hosts shows, classes, workshops and community groups, bringing people together and providing opportunities to enjoy the arts, learn new skills and connect with others. As we are not-for-profit, all custom at the Black Swan Public House and Theatre helps support our community projects and the continued development of the venue.

In September 2026, the Black Swan Public House and Theatre won Best Pub for Entertainment at the Great British Pub Awards 2026, recognising the incredible community effort that has helped make it nationally recognised.

Established in November 2025, Rudono Pizza proudly champions local ingredients and works collaboratively with the Black Swan Public House and Theatre. Together, we celebrate local produce, independent businesses and community spirit through events such as our Christmas Makers Market.

2 Media and event promotion

  • The Black Swan Theatre, The Black Swan Public House and Rudono Pizza are working together to promote the market through local media, wider media outlets and strong social media campaigns across both organisations’ channels.
  • This is a collaborative event. All stallholders are required to actively promote it to their own followers and customers, encouraging them to come along and meet you in person while supporting fellow traders.
  • Promote your attendance and the products you will be bringing across all your available social media channels. Tag @BlackSwanPubTheatre in every post about the market and include the link to the event page on our website.
  • Share the official event artwork and promotional posts. We will provide promotional materials and the event link ahead of the market.
  • Please supply a short description of your business and suitable product photographs that we can use in event publicity.
  • Wifi is available on site (for social media posts and payment needs).

3 Attendance and trading times

  • Your stall must be fully set up and ready to welcome customers by 3pm. Stallholders must remain present and open until the event closes at 8pm.
  • Please do not pack away early without permission from the organisers, including if you sell out.
  • Arrival and setup times will be confirmed before the event. Tell us promptly if you are delayed or unable to attend.

  • All displays and stock must fit within your allocated space and be safe and stable.

  • Pitches will be allocated by the organisers. Do not move tables or change pitches without agreement.
  • Outdoor stallholders must bring suitable weather protection, tables (we will have chairs here) and securely weighted equipment, as agreed with the organisers.

5 Electricity and safety

  • Electricity must be requested in advance, with details of the equipment you intend to use. Availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Electrical equipment must be safe, well maintained and suitable for its intended use. The organisers may request evidence of safety checks. Position cables safely so they do not create trip hazards.
  • Heaters, cooking equipment, generators, gas appliances, naked flames and lit candles require prior written approval.

  • Vehicle movements through trading areas will be restricted while the market is open. Wait for staff approval before bringing vehicles back for loading.

7 Refreshments and kitchen use

  • Stallholders may make their own tea and coffee in the community kitchen. Leave it clean and tidy, wash up after use and follow any instructions provided.
  • Kitchen access is for personal refreshments. Food preparation, cooking or storage for your business must be agreed separately.
  • Other refreshments can be purchased from the pub, where stallholders will receive a team discount on purchases.

8 Insurance and trading responsibilities

  • Stallholders must hold appropriate public liability insurance covering their attendance and trading activities, and provide evidence when requested.
  • You are responsible for the safety, quality and lawful sale of your products, including applicable labelling, licences and registrations.

9 Conduct and care of the venue

  • Treat customers, fellow traders, staff and volunteers with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, abusive behaviour or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Music, amplified sound or demonstrations must be agreed in advance. Do not attach anything to walls, doors or venue fittings without permission.
