All projects and North Walsham People’s Choir are now closed and postponed until further notice.

Message from Joe:
We have decided to postpone all sessions of North Walsham People’s Choir until the situation gets better. A lot of our choir members fit into the vulnerable category – although we see everyone as young at heart when we’re singing!

Going forward, I will have a think about sharing some songs and activities online via this Facebook page and our website to keep you singing in the meantime and I’ll keep everyone update on that.

Do keep singing at home – practicing our songs, singing other songs or making them up as you go along! You can also search for a song on Youtube, followed by the word ‘karaoke’ and up will come some instrumental tracks with words to sing along too! I also imagine your bathrooms will have the finest singing over the sink whilst you’re washing your hands.
Look after yourselves and each other and follow all advice and guidance with regard to any symptoms and keeping well.

Should any of our members finds themselves in a pickle, needing something or even just for a chat, do give me a call.

Very best as always and I look forward to seeing you again soon,
Director, New Stages

We will also take this opportunity to remind you to stay at home if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms such as a high temperature or a continuous cough. Should you be feeling you have these symptoms, NHS advice is to not go to your GP, pharmacy or hospital but to follow the advice on the NHS page for isolation, found here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email us or contact us on our usual number. We also have a recorded message on this number telling everyone we have postponed all classes. You can also join us via our social media channels to keep up-to-date. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We are also aware that some of our participants are elderly and more vulnerable than others. Should you need some support or know of someone who may need support (such as grocery shopping or even a regular phone call for comfort) please let us know.

For more information about coronavirus, see the NHS webpage about it, found here.
